How to deal with the change in our body clocks
Avoid using your phone. To avoid getting sick and tired, we need to do a few things. Avoid having your afternoon caffeine. Studies show that caffeine takes up to 12 hours to leave your body. So, to avoid staying up late you need to avoid the afternoon caffeine. Work up a sweat, studies show that exercise makes you sleep better. Whether it be a hard-core exercise or walking through the neighborhood. Right before you go to bed. Finally, try your best to not hit the snooze button. You may miss your first period or your bus. |
Is everyone happy with it?
To put it simply, no. As we already know people aren’t getting as much sleep as they should on a regular basis, whether they be adults or teens. Humans tend to take an entire day to get used to the one-hour loss. So, all the morning people don’t be angry if you aren’t your bubbly self in the morning this weekend. Advantages of Daylight-saving time Although most people are upset about the fact that days are getting longer and nights getting shorter, there are still some benefits. The crime rate drops during daylight. According to research the rate of crimes is higher during the nighttime. So, if the sun is up longer than the crime rate will drop. It lowers the rate of car accidents. Similar to crime, car accidents tend to happen more during the nighttime. So, the rate of car accidents will drop if the Sun stays up longer. The rate of accidents and crimes will not drop drastically but it will decrease. Another benefit of days being longer is people consuming less energy. If you have more of the Sun’s natural light then you would use less of artificial lights (bulbs, lamps, tube lights). Disadvantages of Daylight-saving time The drawbacks of daylight-saving time are: - changing the clock even by one hour disrupts our body clocks, our sleeping schedules and our waking up schedules. Most of the time this change in our body clocks make us sick or tired. But other times it leads to more serious things like suicide or miscarriages. The early evening darkness after DST sometimes leads to depression. |
